Title: Status Quo

Big idea: How do I find my God-given purpose? 

Main Point:  Remove the tunnel vision

Prophetic Thought: Faith without deeds is dead and useless. Wearing crosses and Jesus t-shirts doesn’t mean anything if we don’t live differently. We share empty words without follow-through, we ignore parts of Scripture we don’t like, and justify behavior and choices that are not of God. Real faith means that it’s actually changing us from the inside out. Living in the status quo is easy, but Jesus calls us to more. Taking action is how our faith becomes something more - it brings us purpose. We see others who need help and we do something about it, we actively participate in a community of believers, we fully engage in the work God has given us at home, at school, and at places of work.
