Core Beliefs
The Heights Church is part of the Foursquare Church, a global movement committed to proclaiming the hope of Jesus Christ. We believe in the Bible as God’s inspired Word, in one eternal God revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and in salvation through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
We believe that all people are made in God’s image, but because of sin, we need a Savior. Jesus came to offer us new life, and through His death and resurrection, we are forgiven, restored, and made new. When we sincerely repent and accept Christ, we experience a true spiritual transformation, known as the new birth.
As believers, we are called to grow daily in faith, walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, and live lives marked by grace, wisdom, and love. We believe in water baptism, the Lord’s Supper, and the baptism with the
Holy Spirit as key parts of our spiritual journey.
We also believe God still heals, speaks, and empowers His Church today through the gifts and fruit of the Spirit. We are called to live in community, follow Christ with humility, and share His message with the world. Evangelism, discipleship, and church planting are central to our mission.
We recognize heaven as the eternal home of all who trust in Jesus and believe in the reality of final judgment and eternal separation from God for those who reject Him. We also affirm our role as good citizens, upholding civil government unless it contradicts God’s Word.
The word Foursquare reflects our belief in the fourfold ministry of Jesus: He is our Savior, Baptizer with the Holy Spirit, Healer, and Soon-Coming King.
Founded in 1923 during a season of spiritual revival, the Foursquare Church has grown into a global family of more than 65,000 churches in over 140 countries. We are proud to stand with all who lift up the name of Jesus and proclaim His gospel with truth, love, and purpose.
