Easter Sunday
Big Idea. What happens when our broken story meets God’s perfect promise?
Main Point: Confidence is in Christ alone
Prophetic Thought: We live in a world that ties our worth to our work. It warns us never to fail and pressures us to have our lives perfectly figured out. At times, it can feel like we are just one mistake away from losing it all. We often carry our mistakes like badges, reminding us of our past. But the good news is that Jesus came to give us a new name. His grace wipes the slate clean. Because of this, we no longer have to hustle for our worth; we can have a quiet confidence that isn't based on our performance, but on His promise. Titles, pedigrees, and positions do not matter. This Easter, we look at the story of Barabbas—a man set free from his chains simply because Jesus took his place. We also look at Peter, who was given a second chance after his greatest failure. We celebrate a new life and second-chance confidence found in a grace we could never earn and a love we don't have to work for.
