We each have our own gifts. We're created differently but we're all important to God's plan and mission. If you're not a pastor you shouldn't be discouraged. If you're a pastor and you're not the next Andy Stanley you shouldn't be discouraged. God created us each with a purpose and a mission and we should work hard at that. The liver may not be the heart but it is vitally important to the body. Similarly, even if we're not the heart of the body were still vital to God and we can't forget that. Ministry is about supporting the body and doing what we were gifted to do. It’s not about the show. It isn't about impressing others. It is about furthering God's mission on earth. We need to be happy in our own skin and we need to realize that we serve a big God and we have a big role in our lives and the lives of those around us. He put us there because he needed our skills there. We need to exercise those God-given gifts for him and support the rest of the body in doing what God called them to do.
