Come to the table
A Family home could look and feel a little different: different decor, foods, smells, sights, and sounds. Regardless of the differences, the dinner table represents a focal point of gathering. Most families share the bond of gathering around food at home or with friends. The kitchen seems to be the hangout and the dinner table ends up being the gathering place. What is it that makes eating food together so special? Have you ever been in a home that you felt so welcomed, you knew you didn’t need to ask permission to grab a snack or drink? Our dinner table should be an inclusive place that just oozes acceptance, hospitality and reconciliation. As we watch Jesus’s ministry unfold, we tend to see him reclining after a good meal and sharing with people from all walks of life. Life stories unfolding, highs and lows, struggles and victories.
